G.E.D. Testing T.A.B.E. Testing
The tests of General Educational Development enable adults who are a minimum of 16 years of age or whose high school class has gradtuated and who have not graduated from high school, to demonstrate the attainment of abilities normally acquired through completion of a high school program. Requirements for testing include:
  • Social Security #
  • Photo Identification
  • $53 Fee Paid
  • Proof of Montana Residency
  • Documentation if under 19 years old

The Test of Adult Basic Education(TABE) assesses basic skills in reading, writing and mathematics. Enrolled ABLE students may take the TABE test, free of charge, to help determine if you are ready to take the GED. Others are assessed a $10 fee. It is also used as a counseling tool by the following:
  • Missoula Job Service
  • Human Resource Council
  • WoRC Connection
  • Vocational Rehabilitation
  • YWCA
  • Office of Public Assistance
Testing Times: Mon & Wed at 12:30 pm, Wed & Thurs at 8:30 am

Preregistration with an Adult Basic Education Counselor is required before taking the TABE test.
